IT is not uncommon for men to date numerous women before settling down. This allows them to play the field, see the options out there, and get some life experience before deciding what they really want. Below Denecia Green, relationship coach and author of Love, Lies & Temptation and Lies, Sex & Betrayal , shares with All Woman some of these types.
1. The unemployed
According to Green, this woman may not have an income but may be willing to wash, cook, clean and fulfil his every need. “A man doesn’t mind a woman who manages the house and makes him feel at home all the time,” she said.
2. Sugar momma
Anyone who can treat a man like a king, pay the bills, spoil him with material things, or introduce him to the finest things in life is worth a try.
3. The dumb/hot chick
“You don’t need to have an intellectual connection with someone to have a good time. Sometimes you can treat yourself to a fling because you know the hook-up is phenomenal at the end of the evening. Besides, it boosts a man’s ego to have a drop-dead gorgeous woman by his side, especially in public,” Green said.
4. The older woman
Green said older women often know who they are and what they want. As a result, there are two things to gain from this type of relationship — experience and a great deal of knowledge. “Older women have been places, seen things and have a sophistication and wisdom that a young man should soak up like a sponge, as it may benefit him in the future.”
5. The gold digger
Green said each man you meet will tell the tale of a woman who was seeking his material possessions and nothing more. Usually this woman will embarrass a man into believing he is stingy, but when he meets an independent woman, he will realise the difference between the parasite and the sincere partner.
6. The church girl
This woman is a hit with many young men. In fact, most men will admit that it was a girl who got them to go to church, or worse — they bargained amongst their male peers to see who first could get a date with the church girl, who is often labelled “Goody Two-Shoes”.
7. The shy girl
Many men are attracted to this type of woman and readily confide in her, as there may be an aura of mystery about her. However, some of these women are actually quite self-confident, but prefer to conceal this from their male counterparts.
According to Green, the more relationship skills a man learns and the more experiences he has, the more prepared he will be when true love finally comes knocking.
