Liar, liar
Many times we lie because we believe we’re doing more good than harm, and that it is best to cover the truth and not risk losing everything.
But lying is fraught with issues, and when the dishonesty is rooted, it can be hard clawing your way back to the truth.
Why shouldn’t you lie to someone you love?
Lies kill trust
Once the person finds out that you have been lying to them, they might forgive you but they won’t forget. They will doubt or challenge everything you say after that.
You can become a habitual liar
Telling lies is an easy habit to attain and a hard one to break. Once you have told a lie, it can become a cycle as you have to tell a million more to cover the one, and sometimes, if the persons is a great lie detector, they will ask you the same question months down the line with something added and you get caught up in that web trying to remember lie #53.
Lies hurt
It is totally unfair to anyone to believe that you are something when you are not. It is best to allow the truth to shine. Lies hurt, it doesn’t protect, and it surely doesn’t heal wounds.
It erases the meaning of love
When you lie, the individual will never look at you the same way ever again, and that will change how they relate to you and how they view you.
