The cougar route to love
She’s called a ‘cougar’ – the woman who engages in a relationship with a man who is much younger. And as the ‘age is nothing but a number’ movement takes off, more women are finding themselves in this kind of relationship.
It’s a controversial issue – while men are often praised for being able to land a younger model when they age, women are sometimes scorned for taking up with men who could be their children. But what do women think? We asked, would you go the cougar route to find love?
MK:
No, I would never. It is disrespectful. Besides, what would a 20-something-year-old have to offer me, a 45-year-old woman? Absolutely nothing! It is wrong, just wrong.
Nadine:
Nothing nuh wrong if him pass 18 and can manage my engine. Sex is sex, so it’s nothing if he’s old or he’s young.
SC:
It is wrong, full stop. The world is too slack these days. Things need to change.
NL:
I have a strong issue with women who think this is okay. It is also not right when older men target females young enough to be their daughters.
CN:
Women are becoming too desperate now and it is deplorable. What example is that to set for your daughter, if you have children?
