On being a guardian of the heart
There’s a famous Tennyson quote – it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, which encourages people to take risks, let down their guard, and love. Because that euphoria that comes with being the centre of someone else’s universe is an experience all should have, even with the risk of it all crashing down.
So should you take the risk with love, or guard your heart against potential heartbreak?
RK:
It is best to love and lose, believe me. I am a risk taker so I couldn’t see myself never trying at a relationship with my whole heart. But even though I am a risk taker, I open my mind for anything so I don’t jump into things thinking it will work perfectly.
GM:
I’d rather not to risk it. A broken heart is impossible to repair, trust me. I have seen some horrible things a relationship does to people so I will get into a relationship but I am not putting my entire heart in it.
Jeneal:
I took a risk and I found love. I am engaged and about to be married. It is not real and true love if you are not pushed to give your partner your heart. Love is never unsure.
AM:
It is a scary thing to open your heart to a man especially when dem so evil these days, but I guess if you never give of your heart, it won’t be a real relationship.
Cherry:
I say risk it and lose then take the failure if you do fail as a lesson and move on. All is never fair in love and life.
