The past has a way, when it was traumatizing and filled with bad memories, to reveal itself when life is sweet and perfect.
As such, be warned that you should communicate with your partner at least key details of potential skeletons, especially if someone other than you and God knows about them.
Because, like the women say below, it can be very damaging to your future when you pretend that your past is squeaky clean.

I think it is best to come clean to the man or woman you love and are thinking about spending the rest of your life with because what will happen when the truth is revealed will be total disaster. My ex lied to me about a lot including dating a family member and that caused our split. Just be transparent and let your integrity talk.

Right now I am separated from my husband because of a nasty secret I found out. He was involved in a threesome with another man and a woman. To be honest, when I found out, even though it was years before we met, it turned me off completely from him. He tried to convince me that he only paid attention to the woman, like I was supposed to be happy about that. If I had known certain things he used to be, I wouldn’t take vows to be with him, truth be told.

I wish my man had told me certain things because I am hearing some things about him that had I known before, I would think twice. Men should learn to be honest!
