Gambling on love
When it comes to love and matters of the heart, distance sometimes intervenes and you’re forced to make a decision. Some people do long distance relationships well; others decide that they need to be where their lovers are.
Would you leave your country and live abroad for the rest of your life to be with the love of your life?
Sandy:
I would, for sure. Sometimes that is exactly what you need for your love to bloom – newness where no one really knows you so they can stay out of your business and you can work on your relationship in peace.
MJK:
I have done it. I met my husband online on a dating website. We got married and I migrated a few months after. A lot of my so-called friends thought I got married for US papers, but he was my love. I am living well because I took a chance at love.
Kim:
I would give it a try, yes. I have met a lot of nice men when I go overseas, and should one stick himself on to me, I would migrate for sure. Love is not deterred by distance.
Jenel:
I would if I truly love the person and saw a bright future with him. Yes, I would give it a shot.
Sue:
I am not sure because everything always looks good at first until you migrate and realise that it’s better to stick to your yardman.
