Men’s biggest communication mistakes
Let’s face it – communication is one of the drivers of a healthy and successful relationship. But although communication is a main key, life happens, which simply means we will at some point make some communication mistakes.
Men, for example, are known to apply logical reasoning to situations, but when it comes to managing the opposite sex, is logical reasoning helpful?
Below are some communication mistakes men make.
The “sweep under carpet”
This one is a sure way to ruin a healthy relationship. Pretending there are no issues will only magnify the issues. Many men prefer to run from an argument and pretend afterwards that all is well. It is always best to face the issues and handle the issues head on.
Nothing to say
Being silent is actually a sure way to give more fuel to the argument. Your partner is waiting for some explanation or an apology so standing or sitting not saying a word while your woman rambles on is a perfect way to make her explode.
The blame game
Shifting the argument and pointing fingers at your woman to give strength to something you did to offend her will not make things better. A man is a man when he accepts his wrongs, takes responsibility for them, and puts in place measures not to have a repeat.
Verbal dominance
Shouting and using expletives can poison your relationship. Shouting at your woman to kill an argument will only drive her away.
Using past experiences to give reasoning to your stance
A woman shares her past with a man she trusts, in hopes that he will use it to love her and understand her. So should a man use her past to berate her, her view of him will immediately be altered by the betrayal.
