Men tell: How long it took me to know she was the one
FOR some it was instantaneous; others, however, took a long time to notice that their lifelong partners were right before their eyes. We asked some men to share how long it took them to realise that their partner was the one, and this is what they had to say.

I knew she was the one after a year, but I believe in building a strong relationship before settling down. We got married three years after we started dating.
Gary N, 40:
It took 10 years of bad break-ups before I realised that my best friend was the one.
Jason L, 35:
I knew she was the one the moment we met, but I didn’t rush into marriage immediately. She had all the characteristics I was looking for, and she was definitely the type you introduce to your family without shame. We married four years after dating.
Paul L, 45:
I knew a few months after we got married. I loved her and we had a good thing going so I proposed, but I still didn’t see her as the one. About six months after we married I was having a difficult time and she was there for me full hundred. That’s when I knew.
Ricardo H, 32:
A year into our relationship she went to another parish to work for a little while. When I saw how much I missed her that’s when I knew she was the one for me.
