I Choose You
Seven years of courtship culminated in holy matrimony on Saturday, February 17, 2018 between National Commercial Bank Insurance and Financial Advisor Andrea Moncrieffe and LMS Jamaica Limited director Mohit Mahtani.
How they met, as told by Mohit
Andrea and I met at NCB, Ocho Rios branch, where she works, on one of my regular transaction days. We became friends and exchanged numbers, and would spend hours on the phone talking. We dated for seven years; it was like watering a rose and it grew into love.
The ceremony
The exchange of vows took place on the lawns at Laughing Waters Villa. The wedding colours were Tiffany-blue and gold. The fetching bridesmaids made their way up the aisle to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, dressed in Tiffany-blue off-the-shoulder gowns from Anagowns. They were escorted by the handsome groomsmen in Calvin Klein suits with Tiffany-blue vests and ties. At the altar stood Mohit, in a grey Calvin Klein suit.
As the strains of I Choose You by Ryann Darling, Andrea, gorgeous in a Vera Wang gown from Bliss Bridal Boutique and clutching a bouquet of white roses with Tiffany-blue accents, made her way to her groom. The proceedings were officiated by Pastor Trevor Hylton.
The reception
The reception was held at the same location. The bridal party made their entrance to Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love featuring Jay-Z, followed by the newly-weds, who entered to Sak Noel & Salvi’s Trumpets featuring Sean Paul. The evening continued with the unveiling of the four-tiered raspberry lemon cake by Leanne Cooke and a hearty reception dinner catered by Saffron Indian Cuisine, Marketplace. The bride and groom shared their first dance to Major’s Why I Love You. Following this, guests released lanterns into the sky.
The lovebirds enjoyed a seven-day cruise on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas for their honeymoon.
