A friend in need…
So your best friend’s birthday is coming up and she is single and depressed. She had her heart broken just a few weeks ago and you’ve watched her drown herself in tears and depression. You want her to feel special again, so you loan her your man just for a date.
It’s a trade-off that some modern women have been doing, as they attach it to being a considerate friend and being “real”.
We asked some local women if they would loan their men to their friend, sister, cousin for a date.
Pam:
I am sure I am not crazy, so no. If my friend is that desperate to feel special again, I would put her up on Tagged, POF, or some other dating site to find a man; but not mine. I am not sharing my man, next thing I lose him for good.
RR:
I actually gave my husband a date with a friend of mine and it was quite fun. I was there, yes, but he was more attentive to her. It was her birthday and she felt extremely special and I actually admired him for what he did. He didn’t disrespect or violate our relationship. It was just a clean, fun night out. Here is the thing – I trust my husband. It starts there.
EC:
No, it is totally inappropriate. But with how the world is going, it seems anything is acceptable, but not this one. I wouldn’t even entertain the idea to even suggest it to my man.
Sherry:
I am not one to say I would do it, but maybe other couples are into those things and I am not one to cast stones so I say to each his own. I, meanwhile, will hold on to my man tightly.
MD:
It is crossing the line and opening the door to your man doing something to sabotage your relationship. Ladies, always keep in mind that a man is just a man.
