No job, no love
Many women like the idea of their men being financially prudent and secure even if they themselves are independent and financially progressive. What scares most women off is a man with no plan, no goals and no money. We asked several women why this was such a huge problem for them in relationships.
Sue:
I cannot be with a man with no job and no money. I need a man that can have my back should I fall short on my rent or if I need money to buy groceries. Now don’t get me wrong, because I am extremely independent, but I still want to know my man can hold me up a certain way should I fall short.
Danielle:
I am not judgmental but based on my experience, I prefer a man with money in his bank account. I personally am not about to mother and father any grown man and I realise that it is a new trend for women to be taking care of men these days. Well sorry, but I am one of the ones who will not lower my standards.
Rushel:
I love money and yes I have my own but I am not sharing my money with any man who is not working and has no direction of where his future is going. I want a man, not a teenager.
SH:
It is about money for me. My man has to be up with it or he will be cheated on. I have bills and my body costs to be taken care of. I am vain and yes I am proud of it so any man coming my direction better have duffle bags, as Spice puts it.
Stacey:
For me, it shows maturity and it makes you feel secure as a woman.
