I simply allow my man to be a man. I don’t invade his privacy and I don’t nag him at all. I just allow him to be himself and just the other day he told me that that was the main reason he married me, and after all these years he cannot complain about our marriage. Ladies, sometimes it is best to relax and let time reveal everything because a man can pretend for so long and no more. Sooner or later, you will know the truth.

I do not accuse my husband of cheating even when he stays out late and my friends are telling me something is wrong. That is another thing – avoid telling your friends and family members things about your relationship because they can affect how you think. Once you are a nag, expect him to be distant and possibly cheat.

Avoid being controlling. I used to be exactly that – controlling. I wanted to know who my man was with and I would call a million times and even drive behind him in taxis and unknown cars to ensure he was going where he told me. When he caught me doing all these things he decided it was time for a break and moved out and that was when I really looked at myself.

I personally don’t care too much about what my man is doing and I find that he shares almost everything with me. He takes care of me and he seems happy because he gets his freedom. I am not the type to control so even though others will tell me I am too complacent, I know that I want a happy home and I also want my space and freedom and it doesn’t mean either of us doesn’t love the other and that we are not faithful to each other.

What works for me in my relationship is simply giving each other space to have our individual lives. We are not around each other 24/7 and that makes our relationship work because when we do go out it is sexy and romantic. I think when you are always in each other’s faces it can cause problems.
