Waiting in vain
There are many broken women who fall deeply for men who are unavailable and they live daily on promises. But the reality is, few men will walk away from their families, and the women below tell how long it took for them to realise this.
MC:
My ex was married and he basically lived with me so of course I assumed his relationship with his wife was bad because there is no way they could be perfect and he was sleeping out almost every night. Then I got to understand that his wife was overseas while we were together, and even though he kept telling me that he would soon put an end to it, I knew it was a lie but I held on. When his wife came back to Jamaica, I seldom saw him until he sent a text, “Move on please” and then blocked me. I would say to every woman out there, avoid being second place. If you cannot get the first place, leave that man alone.
Dianne:
I was waiting in vain for my ex to leave his woman until I realised that I was waiting for over five years and nothing was changing. It was the same stories about her, same promises of him leaving, but he would still go home to her after being with me. It was the same cycle and I decided that I had enough. Right after we split he got engaged and I saw the big engagement video on Instagram.
Andrienne:
It is a total waste of your time and life to wait on a man to leave his woman and even if he does, he will replace her with you then find a replacement for you. That is simply the order. I decided that was it when she would call and I had to go silent when he was telling her that he loved her on the phone. It was when it was over that I realised how I had belittled myself.
Maya:
I was waiting for a relationship to end like a fool and I am saying to all women, do not get involved with a married man because you will forever be a concubine to him and nothing more.
BM:
My ex had me in a circle for year with his wife and after some time I realised that nothing would change.
