Be confident
A woman wants a man who is not just confident but is self-assured not self-centred. So if you are still asking your friend to go over and tell her that his friend likes her, then you aren’t ready for a real woman.
Be genuine
Sadly, too many men haven’t quite got the hang of this. If you are offering assistance, then be authentic and be true to your words, especially if you made it clear that you are not expecting a favour in return. Women respect men who don’t think they automatically qualify for a peck on the cheek simply because they opened the door for her.
Be ambitious.
More women are pursuing careers and living their dreams. So of course you cannot expect these same women to go for you if you aren’t positioning yourself to do well, or are already making moves especially if you don’t have a lot of money
Be respectful
More women are expressing interest in men who are not just respectful to them, but who are sensitive to their views, opinions and feelings.
Take pride in your look
If you dress like you are trying to scare someone off, then chances you are. Women like a man who is well-groomed, neat and generally takes an interest in the way he presents himself. If you are guilty of the former, then you may want to pull up your socks.
Don’t be labelled a player
No woman wants to constantly worry about whether or not her man is being faithful. If you constantly womanise then what you are doing essentially is making yourself difficult to market to a woman who is in search of commitment.
Drop the macho hype
Macho men are overrated. Yes, women want a manly man, but not one who is so hardened that he is not in touch with his emotions. You should be comfortable with expressing your emotions openly – it is appealing to many women.
Remember, the little things matter
Too many men have turned a blind eye to small gestures. For example, if a man goes to pick up a woman for a date, he will honk his horn, sit in the car and wait for the woman to hop in the passenger side of the vehicle. They don’t open doors anymore! Women see this as a red flag. Outside of opening the door, offer to help her with her bags; when you drop her home don’t leave until she is safely in the house; if for some reason you will be late for an appointment/date with her call her and explain the reason; and, call her every now and again but DON’T crowd her.
Make an effort to remember special days
On special occasions, it’s not the size of the gift basket that truly matters, but the simple gestures that express thoughtfulness and care.
A sense of humour
A good sense of humour, most women will tell you, is an alluring quality. They like a man who is able to make them laugh and who is able to appreciate a light moment. After all, an ideal relationship should carry lots of happy moments.
Find some depth
Simple, brainless small talk will not attract the bride you want. So you want to develop the art of conversation. Don’t let sex be the only subject you can talk about because women are becoming less interested in your stories of prowess in the bedroom. In fact, many find it to be a big turn-off.
