IT is often said that your personal space is a reflection of your mental space. This rings true for many women, and so a man giving a woman access to his vehicle is tantamount to allowing her to glimpse into his mind. We decided to ask some women, professional passengers if you will, to share their views on the different types of men that emerge from certain vehicles, and what criteria they use to assess whether they will be riding with them again, or at all.
“Men who drive cars that scream for attention also scream for attention. Even when they have their wives and kids at home, they drive around in their flashy cars with the music blasting so that people will notice them, and that young girls will give them the time of day. They are always either old, obese, ugly, or all of the above. What’s strange, too, is that they usually also have some very weird sexual kinks and fetishes.”

“Fits, Demios, Swifts and other vehicles in that price range tell me that he is a young professional who is getting himself together. It says that he might be responsible and is very practical. The more mature men drive bigger vehicles but not very noticeable ones — at least not until they are going through a mid-life crisis.”

“I don’t trust men whose cars are always spotless. That is not natural so either they are very dirty and had it cleaned to pick me up, or they have women in it regularly so they don’t want to leave a trace.”

“The moment I go into a car I sniff it out. If the air freshener is too strong or if the car has a bad odour I take it as a sign that he is not a tidy person and his house is not much better.”

“I went into this guy’s car one time and it smelled so good and looked so clean, but a roach crawled out from under the driver’s seat while we were talking. It just goes to show that even if it looks and smells good that day, if they’re nasty they’re just nasty.”

“Men who keep a whole lot of stuff on all of their backseat tend to be selfish. They keep the front seat clear to pick up women, but they would not give their co-workers a ride in the rain.”

“Women love to leave small, personal items in their men’s cars to mark their territory, so if he opens his glove compartment and a scrunchie falls out, I know what’s up. Also men who keep a lot of personal care items in their cars tend to be players from my experience.”

“A man will keep things like a hairbrush or cologne in his car, but if you see Bath and Body Works or Victoria’s Secret products, condoms, or anything feminine in that car, know that you are not alone.”

“Girl, I can tell you that if you go in there and the AC is not working, the radio is still talking Japanese and even worse, if the car itself breaks down, then that man is a mean man who means you no good. He will treat you just like the car; just want to ride without a proper investment.”
