The thirst is real
WHEN you’ve been out of a relationship for long, sometimes you’ll do things you wouldn’t have otherwise to satisfy the need for companionship. What lengths have people gone to quench their thirst for a warm body in bed with them?
Below, a few women share.
S, 34, literacy specialist:
I would say the thirstiest thing was accepting a woman’s proposal to go south. Before her offer I was never bicurious. However, after a period of drought I accepted her offer. Truth be told I have no regrets, it was great.
Alti, 38, business owner:
My husband was away for two years trying to get straight and I was going out of my mind – the thirst was real. I hooked up with my ex, the same one who had broken my jaw. Silly me, because he started wanting to do hookups on a regular and I had to take out a restraining order.
Kerry, 28, customer service rep:
I have gone to sports bars to meet hot guys before when single when I just needed fulfilment.
Ava, 45, consultant:
I have done a few things, but I would say what tops the list is when I flew in my friend with benefits and rented a posh hotel room on the north coast… all for a D appointment.
Marsha, 29, receptionist:
The thirstiest thing could also qualify as the dumbest in my book. I was hooking up with a guy I didn’t know long and because it had been a while I allowed him to finish even when the condom broke. I’m still mad at myself, but happy I didn’t catch anything though.
Michelle, 38, stylist:
Some years ago I recall wanting to get romanced so bad, that I intentionally got drunk, but aware enough to see who was taking advantage of me. I was pleased so I just let him take me to the bathroom of the establishment. That automatically took public place shenanigans off my bucket list.
