Dating the flirtatious, egotistical Leo

ALAISHA THOMAS

IF you were born between July 23 and August 22, you’re a Leo — that sensational king of the jungle, who’s warm and expressive and just a tab bit of a show-off.

People who have dated Leos say the attention they give is addictive, but they have big egos, flirt a lot, and love getting their own attention.

What’s been your experience dating a Leo?

The Leo man

Marvisha, 30:

He will do all it takes to get you, and then when he does, when the thrill of the chase is over, he will lose interest. Leos are temperamental and arrogant and just care about what they can get from you.

Sandra, 40:

They’re smart, attractive and great leaders who will take charge in every area of your life, home and relationship, but they have no filter and no tact. A Leo man will tell it like it is — whether you’re getting too big, you are no longer interested to him or he likes someone else — he doesn’t have the decency or tact to butter things up.

Leonie, 42:

They’re jealous and possessive and won’t like sharing love or attention, so you’d better ensure that you’re a one burner. They won’t forgive you easily if you hurt their ego or break their heart — in fact a Leo man is all about taking revenge if you hurt him.

Nadia, 27:

The Leo man loves the limelight, so much so that he will fight you for it. This is the dude who will be sparring with you for time in front of the mirror, and if you don’t mind sharp, he will look better than you when you’re going on a date. They love the attention and they’re not very willing to share the limelight and they don’t like hearing you tell them that they’re wrong, or that they have any faults, because to them, they’re perfection.

The Leo woman

Sharpe, 37:

The Leo woman is overdramatic and self-absorbed — it’s all about her, all the time. She’s a born diva who will spend all her time in front of the mirror.

Claude, 26:

My last girl was a Leo, and what I can say is that a bigger self-absorbed and selfish person you could never find. She was full of herself, to the point where I just couldn’t take her seriously, because she could never focus on anyone but herself.

John-McKay, 32:

They need lots of attention and are very trendy and always want the latest, so beware, all you will spend your money doing is cleaning out her Shien cart. If you’re not prepared to spend, date someone else.

Mason, 38:

Snobbish, proud, full of pride — uptown girl not realising that she has a downtown budget. It’s all about me, myself and I, so if you want someone who’s not stuck up, just don’t look for a Leo girl.
