The Supreme Racing Guide, below, takes a close look at the 12 runners entered and their chance of success. This analysis is done is done in post-position order.
1. DEJAE’S BOY: (5 dkb g by Storm Craft – Dream Big) – Has been struggling to find his footing recently and will be left behind.
2. DUNROBIN: (9 b g by Blue Pepsi Lodge – En Vogue) – Based on current form, Dunrobin can safely be bypassed.
3. UNRULY BOSS: (4 ch c by Bern Identity – Force Factor) – Came good seven days ago when defeating rivals over the straight (1,000m) by three lengths in the class below. Unruly Boss needs time.
4. THE GOOD WITCH (USA): (5 b m by Tale Of The Cat – Witch Craft) – Has yet to win on local soil after six attempts. The Good Witch has finished second twice with one third place effort and is priming to get her first win.
5. KAY BOY: (5 ch h by Rising Moon – Amicable) – Has no chance of winning.
6. SUPER DUPER: (4 b f Natural Selection – Patara) – Demonstrated usual speed in her first attempt in Overnight (September 3) but shortened in that 5 furlongs round contest. With an extended trip, it will be difficult for Super Duper.
7. BIG BIG DADDY: (5 dbk h by Natural Selection – Just A Flutter) –Ran a good race to finish second behind Artesia going 7 furlongs on August 28. Big Big Daddy is rounding into form but will find these giving nothing away.
8. TRUE AL SKY: (4 b f by American Dance – Go Flint Go) – True Al Sky is slowly grasping this grade and will continue to learn.
9. SWEET MAJESTY: (4 b f by Soul Warrior – Bitter End) – A winner on last who enters Overnight for the first occasion. Will learn. Note, that Sweet Majesty races with the visor on.
10. GENERATIONAL: (5 ch g by Fearless Vision – Electrifying) – Consistent runner at this level, Generational finished second to El Profesor over five furlongs (1,000m) round (September 3). He should welcome this extended trip. Generational also benefits from a pull in the weights making him a live contender.
11. EAGLE ONE (USA): (5 b g by Astrology – Frisky Cheerleader) – Capable runner who was expected to win when dropping down to this grade on August 20. Eagle One, then, finished second behind Race Car at six furlongs. He is still more than comfortable among these and can come from off the pace or set the fractions. Whatever he chooses to do, Eagle One is going to be hard to beat.
12. EMPEROROFTHECATS: (3 b g by Emperor Hall – Laws Of The Cat) – Has done well in his two starts at this level. Emperorofthecats finished third behind Race Car and Eagle One over 6 furlongs (1,200m)on August 20 and again was third behind El Profesor and Generational on September 3. Despite the presence of Generational, and Eagle One, Emperorofthecats is a three-year-old, who is developing fast, plus Shane Ellis returns to the saddle.
