Barracks Road and Green Pond clash in St James FA VMF Under-13
ST JAMES, Jamaica— Barracks Road Primary and Green Pond Primary, winners of their first two games, will meet in a top of the zone clash in the St James Football Association VM Foundation Uplift Under-13 competition at Wespow Park on Friday, set to start at 12:30pm.
Both teams are tied at the top of Zone C on six points, with Barracks Road ahead on goal-difference after scoring eight goals and conceding one.
Also, Chetwood Primary and Maldon, both on three points, will meet in the first game on Friday at 10:00am. It will be followed by Albion and Adelphi who will both be seeking their first point.
On Thursday, Corinaldi Avenue Primary and Flankers Primary won back to back games to stay at the top of Zone B while Irwin High won their first game.
Shevaun Brown scored a double for Corinaldi Avenue as they beat Lethe Primary 2-0 at Wespow Park to take the lead in the zone on goal-difference.
Brown scored in the 35th and 39th minutes.
Flankers Primary edged Mt Salem 1-0 with a 39th minute goal from Tamari Watson.
Irwin got their first win with a 4-1 win over Barrett Town with goals from Sanjae Guy in the third minute, Yahkeeni Palmer in the eighth minute, Omarkley Ferguson in the 13th minute and Kenard Johnson in the 37th minute while Kerome Edwards got Barrett Town’s only goal.
