Gunmen kill female pump attendant at Portmore gas station
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A female pump attendant was shot dead by gunmen at a gas station along Grange Lane in West Cumberland, St Catherine on Tuesday evening.
The woman, who up to publication was still unidentified, is reportedly from Gregory Park in the municipality.
Information reaching OBSERVER ONLINE is that the woman was at work when several men rode up on motorbikes. The men pretended they were going to buy gas but opened fire killing the woman.
The shooting sent other workers and motorists scampering.
Efforts to speak with Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips, head of the St Catherine South Division, have so far proven futile. ,
A video of the woman’s body lying beside the gas station pump was released on social media. It was reportedly recorded by a passing motorist.
Unconfirmed reports said the killing stems from the ongoing gang feud in Gregory Park. Sources say the men who did the killing were also from the area.
