Ras Kronik eyes more live shows in 2024
Following his performance at Las Vegas’ radio station Power 88.1 KCCP’s New Year’s party, singer Ras Kronik hopes to see more live action in 2024. Last August saw the release of The Energy, his third album, by Pandemic Records.
“Wi getting good response for The Energy but wi wouldn’t mind getting some more shows. But things are in di works an’ wi expect to be busy this year,” he said.
In addition to the title song, Fyah Burn was the other song from The Energy released by Pandemic Records, an Atlanta-based company owned by his brother Sheldon Edwards. Consider Me and Herbs I Smoke are other tracks on the 12-song set.
The dreadlocked artiste, who is from Clarendon, launched his career in the 1990s. After living in South Florida and New York, he moved to Las Vegas where he has resided for over 15 years.
An established member of the gambling mecca’s reggae scene, Ras Kronik maintained a steady recording and live show schedule prior to the COVID-19 shutdowns. A number of singles for Pandemic Records preceded The Energy which, according to Ras Kronik, set the tone for a productive 2023 and holds great expectations for 2024.
“People can expect continued positiveness, love an’ consciousness. Dat’s di way it has always been with Ras Kronik,” he said.
