Smiles from ear to ear as Shaggy gives back at the Bustamante Hospital

KINGSTON, Jamaica—Veteran recording artiste Shaggy and company brought smiles to the children of the Bustamante Hospital for Children as he continued the annual tradition of gifting children during the festive season.

The two-time Grammy winning artiste, known for his philanthropy, visited the hospital on Friday bearing toys and words of motivation for kids and parents alike.

With this act of kindness the artiste reiterated his dedication to ailing children- especially during a time of recent controversy.

Lisa Johnson had raving reviews about the donations the artiste made to her grand -daughter and by extension every child in the ward.

Johnson, beaming with gratitude, told OBSERVER ONLINE “Shaggy’s contribution not only means a lot to me, it means a lot to every child in here and me like weh him do and me hope him keep up the good work, he is a good man and may God bless him right through.”

Shawna Dunkley Drysdale, Patient Care Assistant (PCA), at the Bustamante Children’s Hospital echoed the sentiments of a jubilant Johnson.

“It’s actually my first year here, I keep hearing of him coming around and stuff but to actually see him in person, he’s really warm and friendly, “admitted the buzzing PCA.

Shaggy has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with the Bustamante having continuously staged Shaggy & Friends concerts that see all proceeds go towards the Children Hospital. His foundation, Shaggy Make A Difference Foundation, has seen the hospital benefit from his endeavours on multiple different occasions.

Other members of the entertainment fraternity made their presence felt as special appearances were made by DJ Frass and Moyann.
