Three shot, injured in Westmoreland attack
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – Three people were shot and injured when gunmen opened fire on a group of people at Three Miles River in Frome, Westmoreland, on Saturday.
The wounded people, men ages 22, 53 and 59, received gunshots to different sections of their bodies.
It is reported that about 9:15 am, the three men were standing in front of a business establishment with several other people when a grey motor car drove up.
Police said the occupants of the motor car opened gunfire at the group and then sped away.
It was later discovered that the three victims were shot and injured. They were assisted to the hospital where they were treated and admitted in stable condition.
Police say no motive has been established for the shooting.
