Two St Catherine men on gun, wounding with intent charges
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Two men were arrested and charged by the St Catherine South police in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on the Terminal Beach, Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine on Sunday, March 26.
Charged with wounding with intent, possession of prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition are 20-year-old Jeffrey Lindsay, a construction worker of Terminal Road, Old Harbour, and 26-year-old Wilbert Christian a painter of Sharper Lane, Church Pen, both in St Catherine.
Reports are that at about 3:00 pm, a man was riding his bicycle on the beach when he was allegedly approached by Lindsay and Christian who were armed with guns. Lindsay and Christian then opened fire, hitting him. The man then jumped from his bicycle and escaped.
A report was made to the police and an investigation was launched. During the investigation, Lindsay and Christian were arrested.
They were formally charged after they underwent an interview session in the presence of their attorneys.
Their court date has not been finalised.
