Vows: #MeettheBoothes

Love happens when you least expect it! And it certainly did for entrepreneurs Nevitha Robinson and David Boothe whose love story culminated with an exchange of wedding vows on Saturday, June 25, at Ivy’s Cove, Whitehouse Westmoreland.

Cupid’s arrow was right on target 11 years ago, March 26, 2011, to be exact. Both were at a party hosted by their mutual friend Christina Plumber. Sparks flew and the feeling was mutual. Nevitha nevertheless decided to feign indifference.

“David tried to capture my attention but I remained calm and unbothered. Truth be told, I was head over heels,” Nevitha told Tuesday Style Vows (TSV).

Seems playing coy didn’t last too long as the two struck up a conversation and were soon on the dance floor and truly enjoying each other’s company. Numbers were exchanged as they went their separate ways. They would later spend the entire night on the phone getting to know each other…

The two built their respective businesses plus a joint one. Nevitha is the CEO of Luxury Beauty Bar and Doll House Aesthetics and they are both co-principals of South Coast Elite Events.

Eight years later, in December 2019, with the help of Nevitha’s family, David took the next step. Not quite your typical proposal, he executed a beautiful bouquet toss proposal at her cousin’s wedding reception. Nevitha not only caught the bouquet but copped a live proposal too. She said, “Yes!”

The beach/garden-themed ceremony was held beachside at Ivy’s Cove. Naturally, South Coast Elite Events handled the day’s activities.

David cut a smart figure in a custom mauve suit tailored by Spokes Apparel with a custom French cuff button-down shirt. Nevitha, who was escorted up the aisle by dad Neville to the strains of Justin Bieber’s Purpose, was stunning in a Chenele Wallace-designed sweetheart off-the-shoulder neckline gown with soft details around the arm and scalloped lace detail bodice from Cochen Bridal. Her bouquet comprised a spectacular cluster of white and dust roses, orchids, and eucalyptus.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Jason Anderson.

The reception took place on the lush beachfront lawns of Ivy’s Cove with lights reminiscent of the stars above and florals provided by Floral Fantasies Negril. Mauve and white roses, eucalyptus, and greenery were combined to create exquisite table garlands complete with candles.

Dinner preceded the cutting of the three-tiered vanilla cake with strawberry filling and crowned with dusty and white roses by Avis Hammond of Hammonds Bakery, Negril.

Post-formalities the newly-weds led their guests to the dance floor where the soundscape of Montego Bay Wedding DJ and MC DJ Tee kept them in non-stop party mode.

The reception culminated with the release of love lanterns by the beach.

Nevitha and David honeymooned in Tulum, Mexico.
