Build yourself up
Maintaining an image as a strong, secure woman is no easy feat, and remaining empowered in the face of criticism can be difficult for women. But it is possible with just a little tweaking of your daily habits and your mindset.
So:
1. Stop comparing yourself
You are unique. There is no one on the face of the earth who is exactly like you, which means it is pointless to compare yourself. No one can fulfil your purpose because your purpose was designed for you and only you to achieve. Learn to look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are unique and wonderfully made.
2. Keep good company
If your circle of acquaintances and friends are those who tear down each other or constantly find something wrong about themselves or others, your self-esteem will remain low. To build your self-esteem and confidence, you have to be around those with the same mindset and hunger as you. Get you some friends who are confident and can pull you up when you slip.
3. Date yourself
Go out and enjoy your own company. Learn to be alone so you can appreciate when someone joins in. Take yourself shopping, to dinner, or even to the movies. When you are heavily dependent on others to make you happy, you are signing up for heartbreak.
4. Do whatever makes you happy
Whatever makes you happy and brings out your inner child, do it! This will add to your confidence because it will showcase your individuality and distinctiveness.
5. Work on your goals
The more you achieve, the more confident you will be. But while you work on your goals, ensure your character stays in check.
