The content creator girlies were in a tizzy last week when word, or should we say photos, hit the ‘Gram of our fave beauty influencers here in Jamaica for arguably the most epic beauty brand trip yet: SheaMoisture’s ShaeCation at the cashmere-chic Round Hill Hotel and Villas.

A post from our fave ‘It’ girl Kayla Greaves was all it took for us to start checking mentions and tags on Instagram to see who else secured an invite. Turns out the black personal care company took a squad of black female creators to Jamaica. The girls were gifted the brand’s new Kalahari Melon Oil Curl Stretch Collection, and coveted pieces from Tuesday Style Fashion frequently featured Rock-blooded designers Brandon Blackwood and Samantha Black of Sammy B.

But the experience was not just a flex for the ‘Gram; it was a chance for black influencers — many of whom are often left off the list when big beauty brands fly out creators to exotic locations — to soak up the sun, learn to ‘wine’ from dance extraordinaire Dr L’Antoinette Stines, be serenaded by Skip Marley, build a sisterhood, and get their tresses done by Jamaican born-celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway, using the Curl Stretch Collection.
