Jamaican (Bam Bam) goes gold in France, Greece

Jamaican (Bam Bam), a dance/house/Afrobeat remix of Sister Nancy’s classic Bam Bam
song, produced by Europeans HUGEL and SOLTO, has now been certified gold in Greece and France.

The certifications were issued within the past week.

Jamaican (Bam Bam) accrued more than 15 million streams in France to snatch the gold certification which equates to 100,000 units, as determined by Syndicat National De L’edition Phonographique (SNEP) which translates to National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing in English.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry Greece, or simply IFPI Greece, is the Greek branch of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry which certifies songs and albums released on the country. It issued the gold certification for Jamaican (Bam Bam) after the song accrued more than 1,000,000 streams.

Jamaican (Bam Bam) continues to rise on the charts. On the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, it moves from #13 to #15, while on the Global Dance Radio chart is improves from #13 to #11 in its 13th week. Over on Billboard’s Global 200 chart, it shot from #177 to #101, and from #91 to #49 on Global Excluding US chart. Meanwhile, on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart it inches up from #5 to #4 after peaking at #2 more than 7 months ago.

Still on the Billboard charts, Drake’s steam has cooled down, with many of the songs that debuted on last week’s charts, making their departure. The song Ran to Atlanta, featuring Future and Molly Santana, co-produced by Jamaica’s Mxssivh, slips from #2 to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100; from #8 to #46 on Global Excluding US; and from #2 to #11 on Global 200.

On Streaming Songs chart, it dips from #2 to #5, inches down from #2 to #3 on Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, Rap Streaming Songs and R&B/Hip Hop Streaming Songs, from #35 to #44 on Hot R&B/Hip Hop Airplay, while dipping from #2 to #7 on Rap Digital Songs.

Shaggy and Robin Thicke’s Looking Lovely steps up from #32 to #30 on Rhythmic Airplay, and Shenseea’s collaboration with Daddy Yankee, Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026) is up two places to #34.

Sean Paul and Keyshia Cole’s (When You Gonna) Give it Up to Me receives a new lease on life, as it bullets from #111 to #87 on Billboard’s Global 200, and moving from #67 to #54 on Global Excluding US.

Over on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers add another week to their stay at the #1 spot as Legend clocks 333 non-consecutive weeks. Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy inches up to #2, Sean Paul’s The Trinity re-enters at #3, World on Fire by Stick Figure remains at #4,
Greatest Hits by UB40 is #5.

Dutty Rock by Sean Paul improves at #6, Wisdom by Stick Figure #7, while Set in Stone by Stick Figure, Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Sharky Belly Motel by The Elovaters are #8, 9 and 10 respectively.

Now onto regional charts, So Long by Neto Yuth and Anthony B spends its second week at #1 on the Reggae North Canadian Top 20 Reggae and Dancehall chart.

Chant by Paris Ivy is steady at #2, Cucumba by Tugstar climbs to #3, Student of a Broken Heart by Exco Levi is #4, and Reggae Music Nice by Legato inches up to #5.

Looking Lovely by Shaggy and Robin Thicke is #1 for a third week on the New York Reggae chart, with Steele’s
Yesterday Once More stepping up from #12 to #8. Satisfaction Guaranteed by Tony Gold bolts from #14 to #10 and Wet Sugar by Richie Stephens (#23), and Jealous by Chaka Demus, Pliers, Tanto Metro, and Devonte (#29) are the new entries.

Looking Lovely is also #1 on the South Florida Reggae chart, with Romain Virgo’s Be Careful moving up from #8 to #5, with Wet Sugar by Richie Stephens entering at #20, and Goddess by Protoje and Shenseea opening at #24.
