Summer album for Wayne Wonder
Monday, April 02, 2012
WAYNE Wonder will be releasing a yet-to-be titled album this summer. The effort consists of collaborations with Grammy-winning artiste Shaggy, as well as female rap star Kalena of Diddy’s Dirty Money fame.
“There is a lot of buzz on Wayne Wonder’s album and now, he is fine-tuning the tracks. He’s doing collaborations with Billboard chart-toppers like Shaggy, Triple D from Holland, and Kalena from Dirty Money. This could be a major album for Wayne,” said Stacey Coley- McDonald, the singer’s publicist.
Wayne Wonder’s songwriting, producing and smooth delivery made him a staple in clubs for the past decade and kept him on the Billboard chart for several weeks when his monster hit No Letting Go.
Now, he is getting ready to make another serious push on the local dancehall scene with a slew of new singles such as Love Gets Sweeter (Cashflow Records), A Nuh Lie (for Mad Spider), They Don’t Know (DJ Frass), and Caught Up (Washroom Production).
“We are going on a major blitz in the local market this summer,” McDonald said.
The singer is currently on a two-week stint in Europe, appearing in major clubs in cities across the continent. The tour will end on April 8.
