24-y-o man to know fate on October 2
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A social inquiry report and a police record will determine the sentencing of a former pump attendant who pleaded guilty to stealing a customer’s credit card last year.
Rory McFarlane, 24, pleaded guilty to simple larceny when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
McFarlane was employed as a pump attendant at a gas station in Liguanea, St Andrew.
Reports are that on October 4, 2014, the complainant went to the gas station, purchased J$2,000 worth of gas and left his credit card there.
McFarlane reportedly took the card and visited several establishments where he purchased goods amounting to J$30,000
When he appeared in court, Magistrate Simone Maddix asked that a social inquiry report be done on his background and that his records be checked.
An October 2 sentence date was subsequently set.
