Elderly man charged for uttering forged documents

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica – Members of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) arrested and charged a man for uttering forged documents on Friday.

He is 74-year-old Linford James of Beadle Boulevard, Santa Cruz in St Elizabeth.

Information received from C-TOC is that James and the complainant were joint proprietors of a parcel of land.

However, the documents for the land were unlawfully placed in the name of one of James’ relatives.

The complainant then reported the matter to the police upon noticing the breach, and an investigation was launched. James was subsequently arrested and charged.

He is scheduled to appear before the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate’s Court on Monday, October 26.
