Flash Flood Watch for north eastern parishes discontinued
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Meteorological Service (Met Service) has discontinued the Flash flood Watch for low-lying and flood prone areas of north eastern parishes.
The Met Service, in a release this morning, said that the trough causing the increased rainfall in the region has drifted eastward of Jamaica and is expected to gradually weaken over the next couple of days.
Satellite imagery and Radar observations indicates a significant reduction in showery activity across north eastern parishes, the Met Service said adding that the forecast is for showers to now occur across inland areas of mainly central and western parishes.
