Jurors deliberating in murder trial of ex-cop
ST ANN, Jamaica — Presiding Judge Courtney Day has wrapped up his summation in the murder trial of ex-cop Jeffery Peart and his sister Roxanne Peart.
The case has now been handed over to the jury panel for deliberation.
The trial was postponed for two days last week after one juror fell ill.
Peart a former constable and his sister are charged for the 2012 murder of taxi driver Delroy Frame, whose headless body was found at Wildcane district in St Ann.
The taxi man was a witness/complainant in a case before the court in which Constable Peart was accused of corruption.
