Justice Ministry revokes three stolen JP seals

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Justice through an advertisement in today’s paper issued a notice of the revocation of three Justices of the Peace official seal that were reported stolen.

The Permanent Secretary in the ministry said it has received notification that the official seals issued under the Justice of the Peace (Official Seals) Act bearing the identification numbers: B00738, B01012 and F00394 have been stolen.

Subsequently, the ministry in an exercise of powers conferred in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 7 (5) of the Justices of the Peace (Officials Seals) Regulation 2004, said the seals have been revoked and the identification numbers B00738, B01012 and F00394 cancelled, effective April 7.
