Man held with gun in Clarendon

CLARENDON, Jamaica — A man was this morning arrested by police in Lionel Town, Clarendon and a firearm taken from him.

Reports are that a team of police was on foot patrol in the community about 10:20 am, when they observed a man acting in a manner that they said aroused their suspicion.

He was accosted, searched and a Taurus 9mm pistol and six rounds of ammunition taken from him.

He was subsequently arrested.


His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
