Police seek man accused of fleecing St Thomas farmers
ST THOMAS, Jamaica — The man accused of fleecing farmers in St Thomas of over $4 million in produce has been listed as wanted by the police.
Dean Clover Orell Williams is wanted for obtaining credit by fraud after he allegedly took goods from farmers in December 2012 and January 2013 but has not paid them.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The police reported that Williams negotiated with farmers in Rolandsfield, St Thomas to purchase a variety of agricultural produce from them at an agreed price.
As per the agreement, the produce was delivered to Williams who is yet to compensate the farmers, the police say.
Williams is of dark complexion, medium build, sports a low haircut and is in his mid-50s.
He is known to frequent Highland Drive, Barrington Drive, Elmwood Terrace, all located in Kingston 19, and Waltham Park in Kingston.
