Sections of North-South Highway to close for a month

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Sections of the North-South leg of Highway 2000 are to be closed today to facilitate maintenance work due to irregular settlements and cracking caused by heavy rainfall.

In an advertisement in today’s paper, the Jamaica North South Highway Company Limited said one of the lanes need to be closed along sections K26+500 to K26+700 between today and May 13 to facilitate maintenance construction.

The company cautioned motorists to slow down when approaching the area and drive carefully.
