Transport Authority investigating Manchester crash that injured 18
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Transport Authority on Thursday said it has launched an investigation into a crash between a Toyota Hiace minibus, which plies the route Balaclava to Mandeville, and a Toyota Tacoma pick-up.Read: 18 injured in Manchester crash; 4 still in hospital
The crash occurred on Wednesday along the New Green road in Manchester, and 18 people were reportedly injured, four of whom are still hospitalised.
In light of the number of crashes involving public passenger vehicles since the start of the year, the Transport Authority called on all road users to ensure strict adherence to the regulations governing the use of the roads.
Additionally, the Transport Authority urged all operators of public passenger vehicles to exercise due care when transporting passengers and observe the prescribed speed limits, the terms and conditions of their road licences and the law.
