Westmoreland woman stabbed to death by intruder

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — An elderly woman was fatally stabbed at her Westmoreland home by an intruder early this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 64-years-old Marion Brissett of a Bay Road address in Little London.

Reports are that Brissett was at home with her grandson about 3:50 am when she was stabbed by an intruder who gained entrance through a window.

A man has since been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the murder.
