Whitehall Basic and Prep School to get facelift
THE staff and managers from Sandals Negril Beach Resort and Spa have chosen their adopted school, Whitehall Basic and Preparatory School in Red Ground, Negril in Westmoreland as their main project for Labour Day this year.
They will also provide some assistance to the efforts of the Green Island Police Youth Club and the Whithorn Police Youth Club as both groups work on giving the respective police stations in their communities a much needed facelift.
The team from the resort, along with parents and teachers from the school, will be joined by members of the Negril police and about 30 members of the cadet corps from Mannings High School in the Labour Day projects on Friday.
Public relations manager at the resort, Burchell Henry said that staff and managers from all departments would be participating in various activities to upgrade the school.
Work will include painting of classrooms, carpentry and masonry works, plumbing and electrical repairs, repainting of the school sign, erecting no parking signs on the school compound, landscaping and cleaning the drain that runs in front of the school.
