Three killed in Spanish Town, Portmore

THREE men were killed in separate incidents in Spanish Town and Portmore in St Catherine Saturday.

They were identified as:

. Oneil Pecco, 27, a mechanic of Gordon Pen, Spanish Town;

. Allan Mitchell, 63, otherwise called “Barber” of Old Harbour Road, also in Spanish Town; and

. Andrew Davis, 34, otherwise called “Blacka” of Laurel Road, Southborough, Portmore.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that at about 1:00 pm Saturday, Pecco alighted from his car at premises at Bonanza Drive in Lauriston and was approached by a man with a gun. The man immediately opened fire, hitting him. The police were summoned and he was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

Mitchell, who was the landlord for a house at Old Harbour Road, was fatally stabbed at the premises about 5:20 pm. He reportedly went there to effect repairs to the roof of the house when a dispute developed between him and a female tenant. During the argument a knife was used to stab him several times. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators from the St Catherine North Homicide Unit are seeking a woman known only as ‘Tiny’ for questioning in connection with Mitchell’s death

Davis was killed at about 8:00 pm. He was reportedly riding his bicycle along the Newlands main road when explosions were heard. The police were alerted and investigators who went to the scene found Davis’ body with a gunshot wound on the road. The body was removed to the morgue.

.One dead, three injured in Denbigh

THREE people were shot, one fatally at Denbigh Crescent, May Pen, Clarendon Saturday night.

Dead is Joan Pusey, 38, while admitted in hospital are two men, aged 63 and 54, all of Denbigh Crescent.

The CCN said that at about 7:40 pm, Pusey, who operated a bar, was at her businessplace along with two customers when a white motor car drove up. A man armed with a gun alighted from the vehicle, entered the establishment and opened fire hitting the three before escaping in the waiting motor car. The injured were taken to hospital where Pusey died while being treated.

Man’s body found in Redlands gully

THE Chapelton police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found in a gully at Redlands district, Chapelton, Clarendon, Saturday.

The dead man has been identified as Michael Sanderson, 47, of Redlands district.

According to the CCN, at about 10:00 am, a resident found the body in the gully. Close examination of the body by investigators revealed no marks of violence. It is believed that he might have been washed away by flood waters. The body was removed to the morgue for post mortem.

Burnt human remains found in cemetery

THE burnt remains of an unidentified man, believed to be in the early 20s, were found in the Chinese Cemetery, Waltham Park Road, Kingston 13 Saturday.

The CCN’s metro officer reported that about 8:15 am, members of a police party who were on operation in the area found the remains and summoned the government pathologist. An on the spot post mortem however, proved inconclusive.

Cops kill two alleged robbers in Negril

THE police’s Bureau of Special Investigations has commenced a probe into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting by the police of two alleged robbers at Norman Manley Boulevard, Negril, Westmoreland Saturday. A Sig Sauer semi automatic pistol was allegedly seized in the incident.

Killed were Ryan Patterson, 19, otherwise called “Hyus” of Spring Gardens and Bryan Woolery, 36, otherwise called “Cat” of Silver Spring, both in Westmoreland.
