Teen arrested on gun charges
A 17-year-old teenager was yesterday morning arrested for breaches of the Firearms Act in Allman Town, Kingston.
The teen, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN’s) Metro Officer are that about 8:35 am, a police party was on patrol in Allman Town when the teenager was seen among a group of men on Dames Road acting suspiciously.
He was accosted and searched and a .38 Taurus Revolver, serial number PK 461350 and 12 cartridges were found in his possession. He is scheduled to appear in the Gun Court on December 6.
The Mobile Reserve police are said to be investigating.
