The-Dream added to Bolt’s line-up

International R&B artiste and producer, The-Dream has been added to the line-up for the Usain Bolt 9.58 Super Party on December 5. The event which is to take place at Richmond Estate in St Ann, will also have a slew of Jamaica’s most popular artistes including the internationally renowned Queen of Reggae, Marcia Grifiths.

On this, his first trip to Jamaica, The-Dream is best known for his hits Shawty is a Ten and Falsetto, The-Dream also produced Rihanna’s Umbrella, and Britney Spears’ Me Against the Music, and wrote J Holiday’s Bed, Usher’s Moving Mountains and co-wrote Mariah Carey’s Touch My Body.

Norman Peart, Usain Bolt’s manager is pleased with the addition. He said “The-Dream is expected to add his own flavour to the entertainment package. A mix of local and international music with friends in his homeland is great but more importantly we all get together for a purpose that benefits others.” Patrons will also be treated to performances by Etana, Cherine Anderson, Vybz Kartel and the Empire, Voicemail, Konshens, D-Major, Chris Martin, Kip Rich and Aidonia. The dancefloor will be kept alive by the music of giants Stone Love, ZJ Liquid, Jazzy T, Copper Shot, Razz & Biggy and Tony Matterhorn. The fastest man in the world will also break barriers by taking a spin at the turntables.

The SuperParty offers a unique blend of local and international music while displaying the beautiful, cultural elements of Jamaica. Proceeds from Usain Bolt’s 9.58 Super- Party will be channelled through the United Way programme to benefit Bolt’s handpicked charities, including the acquisition of land to build a health centre in his home town of Sherwood Content in Trelawny.
