The family takes spotlight on Dollars and Sense
Local game show, Dollars and Sense continues today on CVM TV at 6:00 pm with an exciting parent and child show. It will be a ‘one off’ game which will have teams of parent and child matching wits with the aim of winning the top prize of one million dollars.
Five teams whom will be asked 10 questions each and the team which answers their 10 questions correctly will walk away with the million dollars. If they answer a question incorrectly, they will receive half the value of their last correct answer. Part of the money won by each team should go towards the children’s education.
According to producer of Dollars and Sense, Joan Edward from Signature Films Production said, the idea was to have a show to promote the family. “We also wanted to foster teamwork within the family where parents and their children can work together to achieve one common goal.”
The teams vying for the prize are Courtney Nicholson and his son Nixon from Montego Bay, St James; Merl Grove High’s Cadesha Blake and her mother Delrose Jones; Nadjae Williams and her daughter Nieka Green from Kingsway Prep; Vaughn Blair and his daughter Shellica from St Andrew High and Horace Pat Hamilton and his daughter Rasine.
The teams will be asked questions relating to the history and culture of Jamaica, this as the Dollars and Sense show aims to highlight and promote Jamaica.
Dollars and Sense is sponsored by JMMB, Jamaica Observer, Advantage General Insurance, The Kingston Hilton Hotel, Couples Swept Away Resort and Courts Jamaica Limited.
