Claro Super League continues today, tomorrow

The Claro/KSAFA Super League continues with a set of mid-week games set for today and tomorrow.

The feature game of the round though will see title-chasers and front-runners Rae Town and Cavalier, squaring off in what could be the title decider tomorrow at the Constant Spring Complex, starting at 3:30 pm.

All other games will be played on today and include Santos vs Real Mona at Bell/Chung Oval, JDF vs Maverley/Hughenden at Up Park Camp, Duhaney Park vs Montain View at Baldwin Crescent, Barbican vs Constant Spring and Bull Bay vs Meadhaven at Bull Pen.

All games start at 3:30 pm.

Rae Town made the most of Cavalier’s absence in the League on Saturday, beating Barbican 3-0 to move to the top of the table by a point ahead of Cavalier.

Damion Jackson (76th & 89th) and James Durrant (17th) were the scorers for Rae Town in their win.

In other matches, Santos were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom-of-the-table Maverley/Hughenden, JDF lost 1-3 to Meadhaven, Constant Spring beat Police 2-1 and Duhaney Park defeated Real Mona 1-0.

The game between Cavalier and Mountain was postponed.

At Maverley Park, Gaymeon Watkins’ scored a 80th-minute goal for Santos to draw with the home team, after Ramone Edwards netted for Maverley in the 58th minute.

Meadhaven, with a goal each from David Reid, Wilbert Williamson and Kertice Williston, saw off JDF comfortably at Duhaney Park.

At ‘Spring’ complex, Narado Prawl and Denzil Mitchell were the scorers in Constant Spring’s win over Bull Bay. Khari Caine got Bull Bay’s consolation.

At Buttercup Park, Damion Waite got the game’s only goal in the 77th minute, as Duhaney Park stopped host Real Mona.

Rae Town sit atop the standings with 41 points, followed by Cavalier 40, but the latter have a game in hand.

Santos are in third with 35 points, Mountain View follow with 31, JDF 28, Constant Spring 27, Real Mona 21, Duhaney Park and Barbican 19, Bull Bay 15, Meadhaven 12 and Maverley five.
