‘Dudus’ arrives in NY to face charges
WHITE PLAINS, New York — Authorities say Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke arrived in New York tonight to face drug trafficking charges.
Federal agents brought Coke by plane to an airport in White Plains, New York. He was to be taken to a federal lockup in New York City. He will appear in court tomorrow.
The 42-year-old Coke waived his right to an extradition trial in Kingston earlier today.
US prosecutors say the leader of the notorious Shower Posse gang has overseen large shipments of cocaine and marijuana to the eastern United States since the 1990s.
A violent clash last month between his supporters and security forces left 76 dead.
