Zoe Saldana secretly engaged to boyfriend of 10 years

Not many people even knew she had a boyfriend. So it has come as a surprise that Star Trek beauty, Zoe Saldana, has announced to friends that she is getting married.

Saldana, 32, is set to wed actor and businessman Keith Britton,33, her boyfriend for 10 years. The Avatar star is ferociously protective of her private life, keeping her personal relationships completely separate from her career. “She doesn’t even introduce him as her fiancé,” an insider told US magazine. “She will just say, ‘This is Keith.’

She likes to keep her personal life to herself and wants people to focus on her as an actress.” The couple “is thrilled,” the source added. “They’ve been together forever. They’re a great couple.”

Saldana shot to stardom as the feisty blue alien princess, Neytiri, in last year’s blockbuster, Avatar, and has been busy ever since. But she insists she intends to slow the pace, telling Essence magazine, this year is to “have more sex, travel more, drink more wine and love life.” With four films set for release this year and another two in development, this enterprising actress may not find time.

Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am helps police catch a serial thief… with the help of his iPad

Will.i.am can add crime fighter to his résumé after helping the Los Angeles Police track down his stolen belongings.

When the Black Eyed Peas front-man, 35, discovered that more than $10,000 worth of personal items — including an Apple iPad — had been stolen from his Bentley, he used a tracking device on the missing touch screen to find the thief.

LAPD detective Gina Franco tells Mail Online that will.i.am’s quick thinking helped police retrieve his property along with items snatched from other car break-ins around the LA area. “The officer responded to the scene and we were able to follow the signal directly to the criminal’s location,” he said. Although no arrests have yet been made, the LAPD says the thief will soon be behind bars.

Madonna endorses her Material Girl protégée after bringing her into family business

Madonna’s gave her new business partner a ringing endorsement yesterday while promoting her latest venture.

The 50-year-old, who has brought daughter Lourdes into the fold at the tender age of 13, described her protégée as “resourceful”, “savvy” and “creative”. The two are launching a teen fashion line called Material Girl together in August and they’ve both got an early start on the promotional blitz.

While previewing the range at Macy’s in New York yesterday, Madonna was busy singing the praises of her daughter’s “amazing style”, adding that the collection is “absolutely an extension of her taste”. The mother-of-four adds that when it comes to design, Lourdes is “much more fashion-forward and savvy than I am at this point”. To that end, her daughter has started her very own blog to plug the line.
