LILO GETS punched at 24th birthday party
She hadn’t had a drink all night — her alcohol-monitoring anklet saw to that.
But that didn’t stop Lindsay Lohan from getting into trouble as she started celebrating her 24th birthday Thursday night. She was punched as she celebrated with friends, including newly single British rugby player Danny Cipriani. While still out partying, Lindsay took to Twitter to complain: “A waitress just hit me — punched me for no reason.” Lindsay was joined by her “friends” Cipriani and reality TV star Doug Reinhardt — ex-boyfriend of Paris Hilton — at the Voyeur nightclub in West Hollywood to celebrate her birthday.
Keen to cover up her court-ordered SCRAM anklet, the actress — who turned 24 on Friday — was wearing a pair of knee-high boots and stockings with a tight lycra and sheer mini-dress. She showed no obvious ill-effects of her alleged assault, as she was hustled past the photographers by security. Cipriani, 22, originally met Lohan during his first visit to California in early June, when he visited with model Kelly Brook during their “make or break” holiday. The two were introduced at a Hollywood party to watch the England-USA World Cup game on June 12, where they swapped numbers. At the time, Cipriani and Brook had secretly called off their 22-month romance, but didn’t go public with the split until a week later.

Rihanna gives her boyfriend a sweet send-off at airport
Rihanna shared a lingering goodbye kiss with her boyfriend Matt Kemp yesterday as he prepared to fly out of Los Angeles.
Kemp, 25, then dashed off to catch a flight to Arizona where his Los Angeles Dodgers team will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The two, who quietly started dating last year, have proved inseparable in recent weeks and were last spotted visiting LA’s Colony nightclub together to watch rapper Lil’ Jon perform. Rihanna, who endured an assault at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, has revealed she is happier than ever. “There’s a balance in my life that wasn’t there before,” she told Seventeen magazine. “It’s a really different peace, a different energy. It’s really liberating. It makes you feel so proud when you look back and see how much it took you to actually get here.”

Travolta thanks Florida fans for demanding ‘Grease’
John Travolta is thanking his adopted Florida hometown, Ocala, after residents waged an online campaign to bring a limited re-release of his hit Grease to the area.
The 1978 classic is being shown in select theatres nationwide as the Grease Sing-A-Long, with karaoke-style subtitles for the songs. Ocala wasn’t on the distribution list. So residents swamped an online poll that allowed the city with the most voting fans to get the film. Ocala topped the poll by hundreds of votes. Travolta released a statement through JTP Films thanking residents and promising to buy free snacks. “Wish I could be there with you,” he said. Travolta and wife Kelly Preston bought an $8 million home in Ocala in 2003 with a landing strip so Travolta, an avid pilot, can fly.
