GOSPEL rapper Timothy recently jetted off to Houston, Texas where he appeared on the annual En-Sound Entertainment Music Awards which was staged from August 6-8.

Timothy, who experienced his religious transformation as a teenager 16 years ago, shared the stage with such renowned gospel artistes as Ozawa Hines from Barbados, and from the US, Ernest Pugh and Deanna Ransom.

He drew material from his debut album, Evangelisim: Heal the World, that was released about year and a half ago. “All original. Brand, spanking freshness,” bragged Benson, about his 12-track compilation album.

“It’s a compilation of some of the works weh mi did a do over the years and thing. Yuh know weh a mean. A nuh me alone still, some of them a combination, yuh dun know how di thing goh. But mi ave tune weh a jus mi alone… Mi ave… call it five by miself,” he explained in his characteristic jovial fashion. Featured on this set are some of Timothy’s close friends and associates Nickette Morgan, Radics from Katalyst Crew fame, Craig Cee and Jody-Ann Scott, who have lent their talents to this praise and worship musical package.

Describing himself as a militant, energetic, dynamic, creative, intelligent, inspiring rap artiste, Timothy admitted that even though he is a gospel performer, he is not averse to exploring different forms and style of music as long as it does not conflict with his religious conviction.
