Belair hunt fifth win in school basketball
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Defending champions Belair School will aim for their fifth straight win when they host the struggling Glenmuir High in a Zone A ISSA/Central Conference schoolboy basketball match-up today
in Mandeville.
The Michael Stephens-coached boys, on maximum eight points from four games in both divisions, are yet to be tested this season and should continue their stroll towards another title with a win over the Clarendon school.
Glenmuir are struggling to find form in both age groups after managing only one win and five losses from six outings in Under-19 action, and two wins from five in the Under-16.
In another game, third-placed Munro College on seven points, should move up one place to second in Zone B when they host the winless BB Coke at Malvern.
Meantime, last season’s beaten finalists Edwin Allen lead Zone A in both the Under-19 and Under-16 competitions with 12 and nine points, respectively, while Manchester High head Zone B in both age groups with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
